If you’re a self-published (or traditionally published with at least one self-published book) – or local to Aylesbury and would like to volunteer – and would like to take part in ‘Self-Pub Fest’, email Morgen for the form and FAQ document explaining what’s involved. Some details below:
In Person (Apr/Oct) (Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England)
- If you live in the UK, or are willing to travel to Aylesbury for the April or October sessions, you will be offered £20 towards travel and accommodation expenses or the choice of bringing a person with you or donating the amount to the book-related charities – see the Charities & Donate page. The benefit is that you would meet your readers and be able to sign the books they buy.
- PLEASE NOTE: the 26th April 2026 panels are full for authors but you’re welcome to buy a ticket and have your marketing material (a stack of single bookmarks and/or a stack of single flyers up to A5 size) on the marketing table.
- The venue capacity is 120 so with the authors, some family and volunteers, there were 80 tickets available (about half sold already).
- The cost is £20 for an all-day ticket, £10 for the morning (three panel sessions plus lunchtime workshop/Q&A) or £10 for the afternoon (lunchtime workshop/Q&A plus four sessions)
- If it’s too far to travel then you’re welcome to apply to take part in the online festival. These take place via Zoom from the comfort of your home.
- Entry is free of charge but donations welcome.
What the festival consists of:
- January (online)/April (in person): each author genre panel starts on the hour between 10am and 6pm (the final session starts 5pm) last c.45 minutes – see the ‘Panels’ page for specifics.
- July (online)/October (in person): this will be a mix of author panels as well as ‘experts’ talking about the nuts and bolts of the publishing industry. We hope to bring you editors, cover designers, illustrators, website designers,, self-publishing companies… anyone who can help you on your self-publishing journey..
