In almost a year I’d not been approached by non-English speaking authors to take part in something other than the live Zoom sessions or in-person events, then I get two in one week! I hate saying ‘no’ so while it’s unlikely that the authors below will be taking part in any of the live Zoom events I’m more than happy to mention them below:

Massimo Lorusso, an Italian living in Milan, is the author of his autobiography, ‘The Voice of Silence – What Words Do Not Say‘, written thirty-eight years after a dive into the sea in Rimini, north-east Italy, aged seventeen, left him with a cervical spinal cord injury. The book tells the long story that followed: family, fatherhood, marriage, personal assistance, years in residential settings, mobility, travel, grief, and the continuing effort to remain the author of one’s own life despite extensive physical dependence.
