Alana Lawler

Alana says, “Writing dark romance is what I love most. My stories don’t shy away from difficult truths, exploring themes many would rather avoid, including crime, murder, trauma, mental health, and both psychological and physical abuse.

My female characters are strong and resilient, reclaiming, or already knowing their worth, even when they don’t recognise it yet. My male characters are morally grey, blending danger with passion and devotion. The kind of men who would burn the world down for the one they love. I’m drawn to romances where love isn’t clean or easy, but earned, transformative, and deeply emotional.

I’m Influenced by gritty, character-driven storytelling and the sharp edge of Guy Ritchie, my writing weaves together darkness, loyalty, violence, vulnerability, and love. I write for readers who crave intensity and depth, and who believe that even after the worst, it’s possible to rise and choose yourself.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually walking my dog in the woods while plotting my next story, trying to stay healthy at the gym, or enjoying a glass of wine and a good old natter with friends.

My debut novel ‘The Sicuro’ was published on 19 Mar 25.

My second novel ‘Ruin Me’ was published on 30 Sep 25 and is the first in The Oxford Series Trilogy.

My third novel in ‘Obey Me’ was published don 31 Mar 26 and is the second in The Oxford Series Trilogy.

The final instalment of The Oxford Series Trilogy is set to be published on 30 Sep 26.”
