Jonathan Stanyer is an English teacher in his sixties who turned to writing during lockdown, resulting in the publication of four novels, all available on Amazon.
Currently he is negotiating with a literary agent regarding his fourth and fifth unpublished crime stories with a view to traditionally publishing them in the future.
Taken from his Amazon page, he says of his true ghost stories, “Many of the stories I relate happened to me personally which isn’t an easy thing to admit – there are a lot of sceptics out there! I never felt scared in any of these encounters – there is our world and there are others. Sometimes they interact. If I am successful I plan to publish a second volume.
“I am an English teacher by profession and have lived and worked in the UK as well as abroad including Turkey, Italy and the Middle East. I love reading and writing. Since writing my first volume of stories I have started to learn how to make sense of plot lines and characters inside my head – to which end I carry a notebook to write down any good idea, words or phrases that I could use. The skill then as a writer is to convince complete strangers in the main to be interested enough to buy and read what you have put to paper!”
