She was a member of Tring Writers’ Circle for ten years until 2021.

Julie worked for West Midlands Police and Warwickshire Constabulary in the 1970s and 1980s as a civilian. This experience has been invaluable for writing her current crime series starting with Finding Linda (with WPC Janice Morton) which is set in the 1960s and 1970s.

Two other novels in the series are available on Amazon kindle.

Julie lives with her husband, Steve and they enjoy travelling to as many countries as possible.

And can Janice discover the truth about what happened to Linda?

Newly married Detective Inspector Janice Morton is shocked and upset when she recognises a murder victim who she knew in her early career.

Determined to bring the serial killer to justice, Di Morton encounters an unfamiliar world of exploitative films, leading her to the streets of Amsterdam. When her friend, Chief Inspector Nick Watson is appointed over her head to lead the investigation, she is confronted with the old jealousy and resentment that caused trouble for her in her childhood.

Romance may be dead, but misogyny isn’t. The familiar barriers from male officers makes Janice Morton even more determined to succeed where some are determined she should fail. When another face from the past threatens her life, will she receive the vital help needed to prevent fatal consequences?
