Greer Glover

Greer will be joining us for our second in-person festival: on the 4th of October 2026 when we’ll be talking about various aspects of publishing including Greer’s expertise; editing. Greer says…

“I provide a range of editorial support to authors and businesses through writing, editing and writing coaching.

I work with fiction and non-fiction authors who are writing books, novellas and short stories and also with businesses, organisations and charities who need print and digital material.

I help businesses get their message across in a variety of ways, such as writing blog posts, editing newsletters and proofreading brochures.  With more than two decades’ editorial experience, I can turn around copy quickly and effectively.

Helping people who find it difficult to get down what they want to say is the probably the most rewarding of all. I handle all enquiries of this nature with the utmost sensitivity.

I work in the following genres:

  • Crime, Thriller, Mystery
  • Women’s
  • Novella and Short StoriesUpmarket
  • Literary
  • Young Adult
  • Romance
  • Book Club
  • Children’s, including picture books
  • Contemporary
  • Creative and Narrative non-fiction – Memoir + Autobiography
  • Non-fiction

I’m also a published writer of fiction and non-fiction, with my work featured in fiction magazines and the UK regional and national press. Being published enables me to offer myself as a writing coach with success. And I review books – as many as I can given time constraints.

I’m an accredited Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP). This means I’m in touch with other professional editors and with what is happening in the publishing industry.

My background is in editorial roles and in publishing (news reporter and features writer for the UK press, commissioning editor, copywriter for businesses, charities and organisations). This means I understand fiction and non-fiction genres, and how writing works within that genre or style.

I don’t sit back with editing. I continue to train to keep my professional skills up-to-date as an editor.

I take creative writing courses to hone the craft of fiction writing. I love that feeling of being involved with a group of writers who are determined to improve and who strive to write the best stories they can.

As a writer, I know first hand what works and what doesn’t, which is essential if I’m to edit your work. Please feel free to get in touch
