Susannah Hockham

Self-confessed romantic and book lover Susannah Hockham is a mum of two and works in magazine publishing.

As well as writing books, she also writes short stories for Woman’s Weekly UK magazine.

A Moment in the Maldives is her first novel.

A Moment in the Maldives ~ A sun-soaked, sizzling-hot holiday romance about second chances – and over-the-top coconut cocktails! At your lowest ebb, you can either sink or swim…

Marketing exec Cassie’s summer hasn’t exactly gone to plan. Jilted by her ‘loving’ fiancé in front of her family and friends, she can’t get a refund on their expensive honeymoon to the Maldives. Trying to make the best of it, she decides to go on the week away solo.

Investment broker Tom has had an equally dire year. His perfect life imploded when he walked in on his girlfriend and best mate having a sleepover. In his bed. Needing to get away, he holes up in the Maldives to bury his head in work.

Finding themselves island neighbours, Cassie and Tom are both emotionally bruised, with romance the last thing on their minds. But fate has other ideas – and after an awkward first meeting, ripples of attraction between the pair turn into a passionate tidal wave. But this is just a holiday fling, right? No strings, no expectations and no problem when it’s time to go home.

But a week is a long time in the Maldives…
