HJ Furl writes and records allsorts: dark, erotic, steamy love stories, drama, sci-fi and fantasies laced with a liberal dash of intrigue. Her main books, in order of popularity (book sales) are:
Is It Today? a dark scifi and fantasy anthology, her first book.
Beings: The Primal Cut: an erotic scifi romance novella which has both a woke and a revealing cover option.
Sisters’ End and Other Strange Romances: an erotic romance anthology, and possibly her very last book.
Blushes in the Dark: a very dark, and occasionally erotic, horror anthology.
Thrill Ride: an erotic, all-action thriller featuring Isla McNair – a Scottish female anti-hero who fights men.
Basque: Love Stories: a romance anthology at one level, a deep commentary on women’s relationship with men since 1644 on the other.
… and Soon, She Must: a romantic novella about a young woman who is struggling to lose weight.

HJ lives in a remote lighthouse on the coast with her two Siamese cats, a robot, and a live-in lover. When she is not busy dreaming, Harriet-Jacqui likes to comb the beach for unusual shells, and your plastic waste, saving the stranded marine mammals. Of indeterminate age, she loves to swim in the ice-cold ocean – to keep herself looking young. If only!
Dennis lives in Epping, Essex, England with the love of his life. After quitting a senior director role in catering and hospitality, he learned to write fiction in 2016 online with The Open University, and published his first book three years later. In his real life, he is Treasurer of Brentwood Writers’ Circle, as well as being an active member of Arun Scribes International and The Mulberry Writers (Dennis is the founder member).
When he isn’t writing, he loves to ramble the beautiful English countryside, tend his bounteous allotment, DIY, and thrill to all tastes in music, theatre and films. He only reads really gripping books like Animal by Lisa Taddeo and If Only by Vigdis Hjorth as Dennis does tend to get bored, and stressed, rather easily…
