Martin Tracey is a multi-functional author writing dark fiction that strikes a chord and musical non-fiction. In general terms, his fiction pushes the boundaries of reality and his non-fiction showcases the fascinating stories of other inspirators.
As a proud Brummie his working-class roots are reflected in the edginess and honesty of his writing. His popular Judd Stone series bursts from the walls of his home city. His standalone novels have been horror-orientated featuring vampires and haunted houses.
A self-confessed Beatles anorak and music junkie, he was commissioned to write HEARTLINE: The Authorised Biography of Robin George and WE HAD A …FUZZBOX… AND WE USED IT!!!: The Authorised Biography of FUZZBOX.
Alongside forewords by Boy George, Mulligan (Fashion) and Maggie K de Monde (Swans Way, Scarlet Fantastic), Martin wrote the introductions to the Duran Duran En Scene Photo Book series, featuring the late Paul Edmond’s iconic images of Birmingham’s Music-Fashion-Club-Street scene (1979-1982).
He has also contributed to several of APS Publications of Complete Recordings Illustrated Discographies including Black Sabbath, Duran Duran, FUZZBOX, John Lennon, George Michael and Amy Winehouse.
