Karen Banfield

Karen has been writing short stories for over thirty years.

She’s also had fifteen of her full-length plays performed in Tring and Aylesbury, with more scheduled.

Some of her short stories have been included in other anthologies, notably her flash fiction story Where are We, which was Highly Commended in the anthology Home, published by MK Lit Fest.

An avid reader herself, but with a full-time role in an advice setting, she enjoys being able to dip into other people’s lives and dramas, so belongs to two book clubs.

She can still remember being excited as a child when the lending limit for the local library went up from six to ten books.

She has a grown-up daughter who, amongst other things, has acted in Karen’s plays.

Karen lives with her husband in Bedfordshire, who luckily has his own interests so is happy when she’s tapping or scribbling away, excited about a new story or character that has popped into her head.
