1: Sun 25th Jan 2026 Festival ~ Meet the (Indie) Authors

The inaugural online ‘Self-Pub Fest’ festival was held on Sunday 25th January 2026 between 10am and 6pm UK time via individual hourly Zoom genre panels. See below for the recordings and authors involved…

We shall be repeating this day, albeit focusing on the nuts and bolts of publishing, on Sunday 5th July 2026 (online), with different authors to those listed above. Then we’ll be doing an in-person (Aylesbury, Bucks, England) version of that on Sunday 4th October 2026. See 1: 26th Apr 2026 Festival for the first festival we had earlier this year in Aylesbury!

Below is the recording from the 10am Children’s/YA panel, the first panel of the 25 Jan 2026 Festival with Lee Benson (moderator) and Sumaira Ahmed.

The second panel of the day was the 11am: Crime panel with: AA Abbott, Alison Morton, Denise Beddows, Donna Morfett (moderator), Morgen Bailey (MC) and Nikki Copleston.

The third panel of the day was the 12pm: Historical panel with : Alison Morton, John Lynch, Patricia M Osborne and Ronan Beckman.

The 1pm panel featured the following authors chatting about ideas; how they get them and what they do with them. It was fun!  Alan Meredith, David Wake (moderated with Morgen chipping in occasionally!), Eric Goebelbecker, Graeme Cumming, Paul Gitsham and Tony Forder.

The 2pm: Non-fiction panel consisted of the following authors: Cleonie McLean, Denise Beddows (moderator), and Jacqueline Lambert.

The 3pm Poetry and short story panel included: Lee Benson (poetry), Alan Meredith (short stories), Esther Chilton (short stories), Morgen Bailey (short stories).

The 4pm: Romance/women’s fiction panel included Kerry Manning, Morgen (moderator), Patricia M Osborne.

The 5pm: Science-fiction, fantasy and horror panel consisted of the following authors: BB Elsin (moderator), David Wake, Duncan Brockwell, Lee Benson, Pete Williams, Shaun Allan.
