During the first online all-day... actually, soon after it started… I thought what a shame it would be if it only ran once every six months so it’s going to be a regular thing.

Most Mondays up to six self-published authors and/or self-publishing experts discuss a variety of topics ~ see the main Monday Mini-fest for the details. On Monday 27th April 2026, science-fiction, fantasy, cosy mystery, thriller and comedy author David Wake and Morgen (with romance author Ella Hamilton in the chat) talked about editing (their day jobs!). The recording is below…

After explaining the different types of editing (click on the picture on the left to see this, we discussed our editing processes, tips we could give others, whether we read their work aloud (if so how – from the screen, on paper, or via a device or person), use a professional editor, have alpha/beta readers, and we give feedback on other authors’ work (if relevant), whether any reviews have picked up on any issues that should have been picked up during the editing process, and anything else we think of.
