Andrea D Woolhead is a writer and editor based in Milton Keynes. Her love of language and the joy of writing coupled with her experience in this field led her to finally publish her first book in 2025. She currently works as an editor for Boldface Editing with her son, Sam.

Her career has spanned more than forty years where she started off as a Physical Education teacher and then moved to teaching communication skills to English Second Language students. This career change provided opportunities to travel and become immersed in diverse cultures. She returned to the UK in 2020 after travelling home from Singapore overland.

She describes herself as an accidental author despite having published articles, educational materials and advertorials as well as being experienced in editing academic works, websites and CVs.  

Sport still remains central to her life, even though she no longer teaches it. She is still a competitive tennis player, a regular swimmer and cyclist.
