The July/October festivals differ from the January/April festival (which consists of seven author panels) where we concentrate on the nuts and bolts of publishing rather than genres.
The July (online) and October (in person, Aylesbury, UK) will feature a mix of publishing experts and author panels. If you’re a publishing expert, i.e. provide a service to an indie author, please go to the Participate page for details and/or email Morgen for the information pack.
5th July 2026 (online)
- 9am: expert talk – up to six cover designers, illustrators and formatters etc. taking part (yes, an extra session!)
- 10am: mixed authors panel – up to six authors taking part including Janet Pywell.
- 11am: expert talk – up to six editors (SPBF founder Morgen) taking part
- 12pm: mixed authors panel – up to six authors taking part including Karl W Newton
- 1pm: Morgen will be hosting a short workshop (topic tba but an aspect of publishing) followed by a mixed panel Q&A session
- 2pm: expert talk – up to six experts (marketeers, website designers etc.) taking part
- 3pm: mixed authors panel – up to six authors taking part.
- 4pm: expert talk – up to six publishers taking part
- 5pm: mixed authors panel – up to six authors taking part
4th October 2026 (Aylesbury, UK)
- 10am: expert talk – four cover designers and illustrators taking part
- 11am: mixed authors panel – four authors taking part
- 12pm: expert talk – four editors (SPBF founder Morgen) taking part
